LogoFetch Privacy Policy
LogoFetch is a free Chrome extension built by Treatzone that detects and downloads logo assets from websites you visit. It activates only when you click the extension icon — it does not run in the background or monitor your browsing.
Data collection
LogoFetch does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There are no analytics, no tracking, and no user accounts.
How it works
When you click the LogoFetch icon, the extension reads the current tab's page content to detect logo assets (SVGs, PNGs, WebP images, and more). All processing happens entirely within your browser. When you download assets, the extension may fetch image files directly from the website you are visiting in order to package them for download. Nothing is sent to any external server operated by Treatzone.
Permissions
- activeTab / scripting — to read the current page's DOM and detect logo assets
- host_permissions (`<all_urls>`) — to fetch logo assets from external URLs for download and SVG color detection
- downloads — to save assets to your computer
- clipboardWrite — to copy SVG code to your clipboard
Third-party services
LogoFetch has no backend and makes no API calls to external services. The extension bundles JSZip (an open-source library, MIT licensed) locally to package downloaded files as a ZIP. No data is shared with any third party.
